The main contents of the book presents the results of submarine archaeology in Vietnam these last years, through 5 typical excavations: the ancien ship Hon Cau, the ancien ship Hon Dam, the ancient ship Cu Lao Cham, the ancient ship Ca Mau, the ancient ship Binh Thuan.

Besides the foreword and the summary presentation of the process of discovery, of exploration and excavation of the ancient ships in Vietnam, the authors strive to describe and classify the objects of each ship (included the images and short notices on them) in order to furnish more information to those who are interested to exportation ceramics and to the silk road on sea. At the end of the book, the authors reserved many pages to the detailed description of each object and of their origin.

The ceramics presented in this book comprise not only ceramics of the Ming - Thanh time of China, but also ceramics of Vietnam, of Thailand of age from 15e century. The ceramics of the 3 countries raise their respective beauty and constitute a characteristic of the book. We hope that with its rich contents, its beautiful images, this book will suscitate the interest of the readers in the submarine archaeology in Vietnam and in the essential characteristics of exportation ceramics of Vietnam, China and Thailand from the 15e to the 18e century.

This book has for dimensions 21×29,7cm, 350 pages, and is published in three languages: Vietnamese, Chinese, English.
