Center (present day, the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development) administered by the National University of Social Sciences and Humanities to systematically introduce the Bat Trang ceramics in the 14
th-19
th centuries through historical documents, field trips and the collection of Bat Trang ceramic articles conserved and displayed at the Museum and some other museums in Vietnam.
The book was conducted by Prof. Phan Huy Le, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Chien, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc.
The contents are divided into two sections:
Section 1: History of the Bat Trang Ceramic Village, production process and different categories of Bat Trang ceramics.
Section 2: Introduction of 254 artifacts with photos, inscriptions, drawings and rubbings.
The book provides thorough information to those interested in ceramics and the Bat Trang traditional handicraft village.
