If you are looking for a book as a panorama and maybe best reference of Vietnamese antiquities up to now, you should find this book.
It presents more than 900 artifacts and many of them have been recognized as Vietnam's National Treasures. Most of them are conserved in museums and historical relics. Big amount of objects are owned by National Museum of Vietnamese History (now Vietnam National Museum of History).
It comprises nice pictures of collections, with short but solid descriptions, origin and date explains and categorized under materials as stone, metal, wood, paper, fabric and ceramic... In Appendices, a brief chronology of Vietnamese dynasties and reign periods and a collection of old coins held by National Museum of Vietnamese History were introduced.
Obviously, the book is not the newest publication but can be the standard and fullest picture of Vietnamese antiquities.
