Dien Bien Phu victory is strategic battle of our army and people which decided to defeat the war of French invasion and the American imperialist. At the International Conference in Geneva, the French government is committed to respect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia end war of and went of Indochina. Dien Bien Phu victory ended nine- year war, as well as ended of a century fighting against the invasion of French colonial domination, opening up a new development of Vietnam's revolution.

More than a half of century has passed with great events taking place, but Vietnamese generation and the people of the world have always admired and glorified Dien Bien Phu victory.

"Dien Bien Phu Campaign. The victory of Vietnamese bravery and intellect" collected, researched and systematised event and has new awareness to show the Party and President Ho Chi Minh leading the resistance, long-term, based on ourself, followed to lead 1953-1954 winter-spring campaign and Dien Bien Phu campaign.

The book consists of three main contents:

Part I. People carried out the comprehension, long-term resistance by ourself.

Part II. 1953-1954 winter-spring campaign and Dien Bien Phu campaign ended the war of resistance against the French colonialist.

Part III. The reason of victory and historical meaning of Dien Bien Phu victory.
