It is planned that towards October 2007, the Center of Preservation of the site Co Loa – Hanoi, in coordination with the University of Social and Human Sciences of the National University of Hanoi, will organize the symposium “Traditional and modern Co Loa”.
It is planned that towards October 2007, the Center of Preservation of the site Co Loa – Hanoi, in coordination with the University of Social and Human Sciences of the National University of Hanoi, will organize the symposium “Traditional and modern Co Loa”. The symposium is a tribune for scientists and managers of various branches to come and discuss, propose measures for the preservation and valorization of the site Co Loa. Three great problems are submitted to the symposium:
- The history of the site Co Loa.
- Value of the historic site of Co Loa in the tradition and the present.
- The measures of preservation and of valorisation of the site Co Loa.
One can say that Co Loa is a site of national grade, a symbol of all the people, an old capital, the second capital of the nation, which is the object of active care of the managers of the sites of Hanoi, but this care is far from being adequate for its signification and potentialities.
Since many years, Hanoi is trying to upgrade this site efficiently, but is faced with many difficulties in the orientation and the planning because of many reasons among which one may be that there is not a thorough estimation of the site Co Loa in the tradition and the present. The symposium is an approach for the managers who want to accelerate the restoration of the site and we can hope that it will be realized early enough for the service of visitors of the country and abroad.
