After the accomplishment of its historical mission, the exhibition system of the Museum of Women of Vietnam will be rearranged and upgraded to satisfy the needs of international integration. It is a right orientation, and fully suitable with the trend of progressive modernization and pluralization of the vietnamese museums.
After the accomplishment of its historical mission, the exhibition system of the Museum of Women of Vietnam will be rearranged and upgraded to satisfy the needs of international integration. It is a right orientation, and fully suitable with the trend of progressive modernization and pluralization of the vietnamese museums.
The upgrading comprises two main themes:
1. The legend of the Mother
2. The participation of the vietnamese women to society management.
From the two themes, the authors subdivide into specialities, exploring the sinuosities of the heart of the woman of all times, to study the behaviour of the woman in the family before becoming the daughter-in-law of another family, the wife, the mother, the first teacher of her daughter… In particular, the quarter “Play to study” has proposed some activities, among which is organized a rotation exhibition of the world of children, the world of fairy tales, of the game corner, of the discovery corner, of the film projection room. It is a very important type of activities in which the vietnamese museums are still weak. Now, only the Museum of Ethnography has this type of activities. The National Museum of Vietnamese History is preparing to develop these activities.
As a whole, the project of upgrading of the system of exhibition of the Museum of Vietnamese Women has good ideas. However, in order to realize it, material investments and mental efforts are needed to receive an efficient result.
