The event was co-organised by the Department of Arts, Photography and Exhibtion under Ministry of Cultures, Sports and Tourism, the Việt Nam Fine Arts Association and the Việt Nam Architecture Association.
In time of intergration and urbanisation, sculpture and architecture are essential to beautifying the landscape and enriching citizens’ daily lives, the organising board said.
The ongoing exhibition features 68 best works out of 578 entries sent to the arts council, 15 of which were awarded by the ministry.
First prize went to Trần Văn Thược from the northern province of Ninh Bình with The Source of Life, while second prize was awarded to The Wings of Vũ Quang Sáng and third prize went to Architectural Symbol at Northern Traffic Island of Đắk Bla Bridge, Kon Tum by Nguyễn Lan Anh, Energy by Lý Đức Hải, and Relax by Lưu Thanh Danh.
The organising board said it hopes the event will help establish the arts market, bringing arts to daily life and contributing to the growth of cultural industry in Việt Nam.
The exhibition lasts until November 19. -- VNS
