The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will organize diverse activities to celebrate International Museum Day and Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18).
Before May 18, a competition of beautiful viewing photos at the museum will be launched via internet. Photos related to the museum and comments by authors will be updated. There will be attractive prizes for public entries.
On May 18, the museum will organize public activities and a special tour with the South East Asia cultural exhibition. Tourists will have an opportunity to exchange with researchers about ethnic minority groups in Southeast Asia and share experiences during field trips.
Especially interesting, and available for the first time this year, visitors can try several professional work activities at the museum under the guidance of museum staff. Visitors will be invited to practise measurement of temperature, humidity and lighting at the exhibition; and practise the restoration of papers and materials by simple techniques.
These activities aim to glorify cultural heritage values and call the community to join together in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage./.
