The Vietnam National Museum of History would like to announce as follows:

 

During the Lunar New Year Holiday (Year of the Horse), the permanent exhibition of Museum will be closed from February 16, 2026 (the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month) to February 17, 2026 (the 1st day of the first lunar month).
The museum will reopen to welcome visitors starting from February 18, 2026 (the 2nd day of the first lunar month).
Opening hours:
Morning: from 8am to 12pm
Afternoon: from 1.30pm to 5pm
Address:No. 216 Tran Quang Khai Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi.

On April 21, 2026, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) hosted a working session with the Korea Heritage Service, on the occasion of the Sate visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam. The Korean delegation was led by Chairman Huh Min, accompanied by Mr. Lee Eun Seok, Director of the National Research Institute of Maritime Heritage (NRIMH) and other members. They were received by Mr. Nguyen Van Doan, Director of the VNMH together with Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh, Deputy Director, and heads of the Museum’s specialized departments.

On the morning of January 6, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH), loacated at 216 Tran Quang Khai Street, Hanoi, held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition “Spring - The Dawn of Victory”. The event commemorates several significant national milestones: the 80th anniversary of the first General Election of the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026), the 85th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s return to Vietnam to lead the revolutionary movement (January 28, 1941 - January 28, 2026), the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), and welcomes the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Party.
