On the occasion of International Museum Day May 18th 2025, the Vietnam National Museum of History is open free of charge to visitors.


The schedule is as follows:

 - Morning: from 8am to 12pm
- Afternoon: from 1.30pm to 5pm

Also on this occasion, the Vietnam National Museum of History is honored to host a special exhibition titled “Ly Dynasty Zen: Heritage meets Tech” at No. 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, from May 16, 2025 until July 2025.

On April 21, 2026, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) hosted a working session with the Korea Heritage Service, on the occasion of the Sate visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam. The Korean delegation was led by Chairman Huh Min, accompanied by Mr. Lee Eun Seok, Director of the National Research Institute of Maritime Heritage (NRIMH) and other members. They were received by Mr. Nguyen Van Doan, Director of the VNMH together with Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh, Deputy Director, and heads of the Museum’s specialized departments.

On the morning of May 7, 2025, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) had a meeting with the delegation of Nanjing University, led by Professor Xia Wencao. Accompanying the delegation was Professor Koh Rion (Huang Xiaofen), an expert from the University of East Asia (Japan). Representing the museum were Dr. Nguyen Van Doan, the Director, along with senior staff from Archaeology Department.
