On the afternoon of March 4th 2025, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) welcomed a delegation from the Taiwan Ancient Jade Research Association, led by Mr. Ou Yang Dat, President of the Association. Joining the delegation were Prof. Dr. Tong Trung Tin, President of the Vietnam Archaeological Association and Prof. Dr. Bui Van Liem, Vice President of the Vietnam Archaeological Association. The representatives from VNMH was attended by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh, Head of the Exhibition Department; Mr. Dinh Ngoc Trien, Head of the Artifact Management Department, along with staff from the Communication and External Relations Department.

As part of the international cooperation program between the Vietnam Archaeological Association and the Taiwan Ancient Jade Research Association, an academic survey was conducted from March 4, 2025, to March 8, 2025. During the period, both organizations visited several museums and archaeological sites in Vietnam, including the Vietnam National Museum of History.

The delegation visited the artifact preservation area and the permanent exhibition, where they examined collections of items made from glass, jade, agate, and other materials, including bracelets, earrings, and beads from various archaeological cultures such as Phung Nguyen, Dong Dau, Go Mun, Dong Son, and Sa Huynh .

At the end of the survey, Mr. Ou Yang Dat highly appreciated the aesthetics and value of the ancient jade collections from the Prehistoric period in Vietnam. He also stated that the ancient jade artifacts of Taiwan and Vietnam from this period are closely related in terms of materials and techniques. Therefore, he hope that both sides could promote deeper research and collaboration on this intriguing topic in the future.
