On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake, on the afternoon of February 4, 2025, H.E. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam, along with his wife, visited the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH). Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan, Deputy Director, warmly welcomed the Ambassador and his wife on behalf of the Museum.

During the reception, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan expressed her pleasure at hosting Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes and his wife for their first visit to the Museum. She provided a brief introduction to the Museum, particularly highlighting the valuable collections of artifacts related to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Ambassador shared that the friendship between Vietnam and Cuba has been built on a history of mutual support throughout the struggles against colonialism and imperialism, as well as in the process of building socialism. On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025), Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes proposed several cooperation programs focused on document research and exhibitions between the VNMH and cultural agencies of Cuba.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan agreed with the proposal of the Ambassador and believed that promoting cultural cooperation programs would strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
