Dear visitors,

New year 2020 – the Year of the Rat is coming, the Board of Editors of the Vietnam National Museum of History’s website wish all visitors prosperity and happiness!In 2019, we greatly appreciate your interest in our website. Through our website, foreign and domestic visitors can find useful information about the museum’s activities, as well as events to conserve, protect and develop cultural heritages of Viet Nam.

In 2020, we hope to receive more supports from readers and collaborators to build our website more useful and up-to-date to visitors.

And here are the closing days and opening days of the museum in the Lunar New Year 2020 as followings:

- The museum will be closed in 07 days (from January 23rd 2020 to January 29th 2020)

- From January 30th 2020, the museum will be open normal working hours:

+ In the morning: 8h00 - 12h00;

+ In the afternoon: 13h30 - 17h00.

The museum is open everyday except the first Monday of month.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

On the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Trade Unions (July 28, 2019), the Vietnam National Museum of History cooperated with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to organize the Special exhibition: "Vietnamese Trade Unions - 90 years of Building and Development (1929-2019)” on July 25, 2019 at No.25, Tong Dan, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi
