On the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Trade Unions (July 28, 2019), the Vietnam National Museum of History cooperated with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to organize the Special exhibition: "Vietnamese Trade Unions - 90 years of Building and Development (1929-2019)” on July 25, 2019 at No.25, Tong Dan, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi
The Vietnam Trade Unions, formerly known as the Tonkin Red Federation of Trade Unions, were established on July 28, 1929, are now the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. During the 90 years of building and development, through 12 congresses, the Vietnam Trade Unions have overcome numerous difficulties, challenges, and changed the name in each historical period many times. But under the Party’s leadership, in many circumstances, the Vietnam Trade Unions have successfully completed the assigned tasks, contributing to adding more glorious and magnificent traditions of the working class, the Trade Unions and Vietnamese people.
With nearly 300 artifacts, photos, documents, this exhibition generally introduce the history of Vietnamese working class, Vietnam trade union organizations since its establishment; the journey, historical landmarks and typical events marking the development of the working class and the history of Vietnamese trade unions.
This exhibition has 2 parts:
Part 1: The process of establishment and development of Vietnam Trade Unions (1929-2019)
Part 2: Contribution of Trade Unions and Vietnamese working class in the revolutionary cause of the nation (1929 - 2019)
Especially, the Exhibition will introduce the collections related to Examples of Labor Heroes through the periods currently stored at the Vietnam National Museum of History.
This Exhibition desires to help each staff, union members, and workers to always be deeply aware that the interests of each individual are always associated with the collective interests and interests of the class and the nation; uplift spirit of mutual affection; continue to promote patriotic emulation movements focusing on excellent labor emulation and creative labor. All members contribute to building a strong Trade Unions deserving to be representative to protect the lawful and legitimate interests of union members and workers.
This exhibition will open until the end of October 2019.
