On November 28, 2018, a delegation of Seoul Museum of Craft Art headed by Ms.Kim Jung-hwa, General & Artistic Director, worked with and visited the VNMH
Before working with the leaders and managers of VNMH, Seoul Museum of Craft Art, Korea spent time visiting VNMH’s exhibits. The delegation was very impressed with the collections stored and displayed, especially ceramic, mosaic, gold lacquered artifacts at VNMH.

Welcoming and working were Msc. Nguyen Van Ha - Deputy Director, managers and, professional staff of the Exhibition Department, Artifact Management Department, and International Cooperation Department. On the Korean side were Ms. Kim Jung-hwa, Artistic Director and some experts from Seoul Arts and Crafts Museum, Korea.
At the meeting, Ms. Kim Jung-hwa thanked VNMH for receiving the delegation of Seoul Museum of Craft Art and exchanged the purpose of this trip. Seoul Museum of Craft Art is expected to be inaugurated by 2020. This museum will be located in Seoul, a center of craftsmanship and craft consumption from the Joseon Dynasty. Wishing to become Asia's leading center for craft culture, delegates of Seoul Museum of Craft Art went to several countries and met partners to look for collaborative opportunities in Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Seoul Museum of Craft Art is planning to set up a "Handicraft Technology Forum" and hope that the VNMH will join the forum. Through this meeting, the Seoul Museum of Craft Art also expressed their wish to cooperate with VNMH in many fields, especially in research, exhibition, and publication.
On behalf of VNMH, Deputy Director Nguyen Van Ha thanked the Seoul Museum of Craft Art, Korea for visiting VNMH. In the past few years, VNMH has been cooperating with many agencies and museums in Korea and has had many achievements in archeology, exhibition, and research. VNMH is willing to join the forum by the Seoul Museum of Craft Art and also look forward to expanding cooperation with partners in Korea. The Vietnamese handicraft industry is also growing with many materials such as wood, cloth, mosaics, porcelain, pottery, etc. The cooperation of two museums will open up many research opportunities to compare technology and history of craft production in Korea and Vietnam.
After the meeting, the two sides agreed to draft and sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in the coming time.
