On the morning of August 18, 2018, the seminar " Hán Nôm documents in relics" (Part 2: through the stelae, bells, decrees) took place at the VNMH, No. 1 Trang Tien, lectured by Dr. Pham Van Tham - former researcher of the Institute of Hán Nôm. This was the second seminar continuing the first one "Han Nom documents in relics" (Part 1: Through the horizontal lacquered board, parallel sentences) which took place in July, 2017.

Attending this seminar were VNMH’s managers, professional staff and some guides from travel companies in Hanoi who have often guided their tours in the VNMH. This was an intensive training program regularly organized by VNMH for staff to improve their professional skills.

Continuing the contents shared in the seminar in 2017, Dr. Pham Van Tham continued to introduce basic knowledge, methods of identifying, meaning and value of different types of Hán Nôm documents in relics: Stela, bell, decree .... through professional knowledge, true stories about the process of finding, detecting and translating the Hán texts that Dr. Pham Van Tham experienced during his work at the Institute of Hán Nôm

At the gallery of Nguyen Dynasty’s decree of VNMH’s exhibition, Dr. Pham Van Tham helped the VNMH’s professional staff and tourist guides learn about the types of decrees: decree for the gods, decree for inhabitants; decree for people with merit; the identity and characteristics of the Tay Son and Nguyen Dynasty’s decrees…

This was a very meaningful seminar for the VNMH’s staff to improve their professional skills, especially in researching and promoting the value of the Han Nom documents.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

The seminar, "From the Paris Agreement to the 1975 Great Spring Victory", was presented in the morning of August 6, 2018, at the VNMH, No. 01 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. The seminar was organized for the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam (1973 - 2018) It was lectured by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vu Quang Hien, Faculty of History - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
