On October 21, a workshop entitled “Museums and educational activities, experience and connecting tourism –school” was organized at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups (Thai Nguyen).
Ph.D Dang Thi Bich Lien – Deputy Minister of MOCST attended the workshop, together with senior experts and representatives of Vietnamese national heritage and history institutions, museums and tourism management organizations and schools.

Ph.D Dang Thi Bich Lien – Deputy Minister of MOCST and representatives visited the exhibition space of the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups and artist’s performances showing the outstanding features of Viet Bac culture.
At the workshop, representatives discussed over 4 main issues: Theory of awareness to the experiencing education in museums; Heritage education and schools, connecting schools and museums with experiencing education; Experiencing and interaction education activities in museums – effective examples, new methods and solutions done by some museums over exhibition system and outdoor activities; and Connecting tourism and museums.

The workshop creates a chance for museums, schools and tourism agencies to exchange and share experiences and ideas to boost up experiencing education programs in Vietnamese museums. In the future, VN museums will be a destination for many visitors, in particular, for children to play, learn and discover cultural and historical values. Anyway, it helps to strengthen co-operation and ties between museums, schools and tourism agencies.
