The Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) organized Thursday 13/10 a conference to summarize the works in the 3rd quarter and develop the working plan for the final quarter in 2016.
The conference was co-chaired by PhD. Nguyen Van Cuong - Director of VNMH and PhD. Nguyen Van Doan - Deputy Director of VNMH. A general report on the museum's operations and activities in the 3rd quarter and a working plan for the 4th quarter, as well as reports of visits to Hermitage Museum (Russia) and Germany were presented at the conference.
VNMH's summary conference of the 3rd quarter 2016
In this quarter, the museum has run successfully the activities, such as:
- 5th Anniversary of the foundation day and receiving the 1st Labor Order awarded by the Vietnamese Government.
- Exhibition: Held a temporary exhibition "Doi Moi - Journey of dreams" in Hanoi, and "Treasures of Vietnamese archaeology" in Germany, "Royal treasures" in Hue. Prepared for an exhibition in Russia. Collaborated with Lang Son museum on the photo-exhibition "Vietnamese Cultural History" in Lang Son.
- Research and collecting: Excavated Ba Hoe Cave (Binh Thuan) and Den Ha (Bac Giang). Collected materials about the XIV National Election, and Vietnamese water and islands sovereignty and objects of Doi Moi period. Co-operated with East Asia University (Japan) to document the Luy Lau Citadel's objects.
- Public and education: The museum received 36.600 turns of visitors. Organized 41 History Lessons for schoolchildren.
- Website: 1.345.000 turns of visitors to the website to read 202 news and articles.
Regarding working plan for the next quarter, VNMH is to strengthen such activities: Exhibition in Russia, report and document for objects excavated in Dong Ba Hoe and Den Ha relics. Continue excavation in Luy Lau. Fulfill human resource, in particular senior staff.

Ph.D Nguyen Van Cuong - Director of VNMH praised the efforts of the staff in the quarter, in particular the successful organization of the 5th anniversary. He also showed the disadvantages and ways for correcting mistakes and to gain achievements in the final quarter.
The conference is a chance for the museum to review and consolidate its activities and discussing for better solutions to achieve the targets.
