A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed September 12, 2016 at the VNMH for the co-operation in the conservation, research and promotion of the cultural heritage values and museum field.

Attending the ceremony, representatives of Kazakhstan were Mr. Beketzhan Zhumakhanov - Ambassador in Vietnam, Aibek Smadiyarov - First Secretary - Aibek Smadiyarov Embassy to VN, Darkhan Kamazabekuly Myngbay - Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan; representatives of Vietnam were Mr. Pham Dinh Phong - Deputy Director of Department of Cultural Heritage, Le Thanh Liem - Deputy Director of Legal Department (MOCST) and leaderships of the VNMH.
At the ceremony, two sides agreed on strengthening the collaboration regarding of educational and cultural research projects, developing science researches on culture, history, art and museums, organizing conferences and seminars, collaborating to develop researching programs, providing resources and records in the field of artistic history and museology, collaborating in exhibition and publishing, announcing specialized writings, exchanging and co-operating in human resources...

The museum's leaderships regard the MOU a key for the relationship between the two museums. From now, exhibitions will be organized in the two countries and culture and tourism will be promoted.
Vietnam and Kazakhstan have many co-operative projects in economy, security and national defense and now on culture. "Because mutual understanding in culture and history is very important in developing relationship for the two countries. The two national museums have carried out a big job in promoting history and culture for the people" said Beketzhan Zhumakhanop - the Ambassador of the Kazakhstan in Vietnam.
