On the Lunar New Year 2015, I would like to send my best wishes to all collaborators, esteem readers and my staff.

The year of 2014 has gone but leaving many successes and good feelings though it had to overcome a lot of difficulties.

While the society is developed, and the cultural entertainment of the people has been increased, all museums and the Vietnam National Museum of History in particular, have to find the way to renovate and upgrade its service quality to meet the new demands.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the co-operation of the related competent organizations, the corporations and individuals locally and internationally, with the efforts and confidence of the museum's leaderships and the staff, the VNMH Museum has successfully met its duty and missions. It has been awarded by the President and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and by the ministry. Many divisions and staff have been praised and awarded.

Such awards and recognitions are a momentum to drive the museum to a higher success in the new year of 2015.

The year of 2015 is expected to host many important events in Vietnam. Thus, the mission of the VNMH Museum shall be heavier. But I believe that we will continue to be a strong and solid organization to overcome all challenges, to renovate, to be active, to be creative to work and study in order to meet all the targets and to deserve to be a leading museum in Vietnam.

Again, I wish all of you a prosperous and happy new year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong

Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History
