From 2009 to 2014, a co-operative program on researching the Vietnamese marine cultural heritages has been implemented by the Vietnam National Museum of History and the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, South Korea. For the past 5 years, many issues related to the Vietnamese foreign trading history has been revealed through the program.
In order to review and valuate the program and work out a plan and schedule for the next co-operations, a seminar focused on the Results of researches on Vietnamese ancient seaports was organized in the morning of 22/10/2014 at the VNMH Museum.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History; Dr. Vu Manh Ha - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History; Mr. Park Jong Ik – Head of Research Dept, National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, South Korea, and his staffs Mr. Hong Sun Jea and Ms. Shin Me Young.
The seminar presented the reports on the Vietnamese ancient seaports and the results of researches and the 5 years co-operation made by two parties.

The seminar has received comments and advices of experts nationwide and it helps to raise awareness of marine cultural heritages for the museum's staffs. Hopefully, the co-operation will be strengthened in the near future.
