Exhibition is a special language of museums. It is a key approach for museums to fulfill their missions by exposing collections to communicate with public in varieties of exhibits and activities to provide audiences knowledge and cultural and art values.

Exhibition makes up the museum's looks and representation. Museums reach the audiences by their exhibitions. Museum's scale is valuated by the quantities and quality of museum's collections. However, the museum's successfulness is rated by the results generated by exhibitions (by numbers of visitors and their favor).

Museum exhibitions and how to lure audiences is a hot issue for museums. How to exhibit and gain more and more audiences to the exhibitions has been a question for a long time to museums in Vietnam in general and VNMH Museum in particular. Thus, a seminar with above title was organized by the VNMH Museum in the morning of 8/10/2014.

The seminar was attended by Pro.Dr Luu Tran Tieu - President of National Heritage Council; Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Director of VNMH Museum; Dr. Pham Quoc Quan - Former Director of Museum of Vietnamese Revolution; Dr. Vu Quoc Hien - Former Deputy Director of VNMH Museum; Dr. Nguyen Dinh Chien - Former Deputy Director of VNMH Museum, and representatives from museums and historical relics in Hanoi.

Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong – Director of VNMH Museum is introducing the seminar

The seminar focused on two themes:

1. Raising trust and proving the role of exhibition in visitor luring in museum's activities, particularly, at the VNMH Museum.

2. Valuating the VNMH's exhibition activities in the last few years, highlighting results and experiences, advantages and disadvantages; proposing solutions and plans for renovation and raising the efficiency and attracting the audiences for the time coming.

Dr. Pham Quoc Quan – Former Director of Museum of Vietnamese Revolution delivered a speech at the seminar

In the past few years, the VNMH has renovated its exhibitions. It has organized a number of temporary and mobile exhibitions locally and internationally. Such exhibitions have made soundings to public. Certainly, museum exhibitions will be invested and paid further attention to make museums a popular place for public.
