On 25/9/2014, the 49th Conference of Archaeological Announcements was held at the Head Office of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (1 Lieu Giai street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi).

It is an annual activity organized by the Institute of Archaeology (VASS) in order to announce new archaeological studies and discoveries at nationwide. There have been 500 essays presented at the conference. They are ranged to a variety of archaeological periods as Stone Age, Iron Age, Historical - Feudal, Champa, Oc Eo...

The Vietnam National Museum of History is one of three biggest archaeological centers in Vietnam. Attending the conference, VNMH Museum contributed an essay made by Dr. Nguyen Van Doan (Deputy Director), focused on archaeological activities of VNMH in the country side in 2013-2014.

This is a chance for archaeologists across the country to meet and exchange ideas. The conference is held in two days, 25 and 26/9/2014.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

At 4 pm, September 19, 2014, an opening ceremony to launch the special exhibition called “Ancient Civilization in Vietnam, the Early Morning in Red River” was held at the Naju National Museum, South Korea. Previously, the exhibition was held twice at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul (28/4-29/6/2014) and Jeju National Museum (11/7 – 10/9/2014). And this is the last one.
