With over 200.000 objects with high values, the VNMH Museum is the leading institution in Vietnam for collection works, preservation, exhibition and promotion for the national historical values. However, there are issues over the original objects need to be settled, for example: one object is copied and exhibited in many museums like the case of “Mon ha sanh” (Bronze seal) that are displayed in both museums at the same time, or Ha Tinh Museum and VNMH Museum. Besides, how to find and set up for the information data related to the objects were discussed.

Dr. Do Van Tru - General Secretary of Vietnam Association for Cultural Heritage delivered a presentation

Another shortcoming is that, the documents and photographs are though collected and preserved in the museum but very limited. The documentary sources related to waters and islands, the Central, the South history are very small.

Then, the seminar drew out the solutions and proposals to solve the above issues, as some of the followings:

- The VNMH Museum needs a general inspection for the available collections, and making the schedule for adding the supplementary collections.

- Setting up the plan to secure or borrow the objects from the provincial museums or special museums or individual collections.

- The exhibitions must be fresh, excellent in the content, and exciting in the outlook to attract the visitors./.
