On the anniversary of the Day of Vietnamese Family (28/6), in the morning of 28/6/2014, at the Culture - Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi, the VNMH Museum and other 6 government organizations have joined an exhibition displaying photographs and documents related to the sovereignty of Vietnam over the borders and islands.
The exhibition was attended by Mr. Ho Anh Tuan- Deputy Minister of MOCST, Mr. Dang Vu Nhat Thang - Chairman of People’s Committee of Son Tay Town, Mr. Pham Thanh Khuong – Politics Department of Border Army, Ms. Vu Tuyet Anh – Head of Family Department (MOCST), Mr. Vi Kien Thanh – Head of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition Department, Mr. Vu Manh Ha – The VNMH Museum’s Deputy Director, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet – General Director of Central Documentary and Science Film and Mr. Nguyen Huu Mui – Vice Head of Institute of Han Nom Studies.

The Day of Vietnamese Family 2014 has a theme titled “The grand family of Vietnamese ethnic groups and the struggle for the national construction and defense”. The exhibition exhibited over 600 materials and photographs with over 250 objects, 112 photographs, over 200 propaganda posters, 21 stone steles showing sovereignty of Truong Sa islands, and 5 documentary films.
Mr. Ho Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of MOCST signed his name on the map reaffirming the territorial sovereignty of Vietnam at the Exhibition Hall called “The Vietnam’s Sovereignty over Borders and Waters” implemented by the VNMH Museum.

The exhibition has been held within two days, 28 and 29/6, together with other activities such as the Performance Show, Po Riyak Worshipping Ceremony, the Cau Ngu Festival (Fish worshipping), “Le khao le the linh Hoang Sa” (Hoang Sa Soldier Feast and Commemoration Festival)./.
