According to the Decision no. 957/QĐ-BVHTTDL dated 01/4/2014 issued by MOCST, the VNMH will be wholly in charge of preservation and keeping the UNESCO Certifications of Recognition for the intangible cultural heritages that awarded to Vietnam, since 01/4/2014.

Mrs. KaTherine Muller Marin - UNESCO Chief Representative in Hanoi handed the MOCST’s Minister. Hoang Tuan Anh the Certification to recognize Don ca tai tu Nam bo as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, 2/2014

Accordingly, the certifications of recognition for the intangible cultural heritage of humanity for Vietnam include:

The space of gong culture in the Vietnam Highlands, Certificate for Ca tru on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, Certificate for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Quan ho Bac Ninh, Certificate for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Nha nhac Cung dinh Hue, Certificate for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Don ca tai tu Nam bo.

All those certifications are being kept by the Cultural Heritage Department and they will be sent to the VNMH for the preservation and conservation.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

Since 1977, the International Committee of Museum (ICOM) celebrated the International Museum Day – IMD as a special day for the international museum community. In this occasion, museums can introduce their cultural activities to public. The IMD is also an opportunity for museum professionals to meet the museum visitors.
