Recently, VNMH’s Labor Union has called its officers and workers to respond to the contest called “Learning about the 60 years of Dien Bien Phu historical victory” launched by Labor Union of MOCST.

With the conception and responsibilities of people who work in the field of conservation and promotion for the historic materials and objects to local public and foreigners, VNMH’s Labor Union has sent its best writing to the contest.

On 13/5/2014, the MOCST’s Labor Union informed in a closing ceremony that VNMH has overcame 60 contestants to get the First Prize. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Khanh Hai - Deputy Minister of MOCST, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong - Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, MOCST’s senior officers and its relevant unit’s officers.

In the eloquent contest for 15 units that got the prizes organized in the same day, the VNMH has won the Third Prize. The eloquent contest was made on 3 contents: presentation, Q&A and talent. It targeted to the knowledge about the resistance war against French colonists and the Dien Bien Phu Battle.

The contest is a political activity with view to raise the awareness for officers and workers to the national traditions and the value of Dien Bien Phu victory. It helps to stir up the spiritual values, encourages and promotes the revolutionary tradition, self-confidence and country protection.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.
