On the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Battle (7/5/1954 - 7/5/2014) and to celebrate the 124th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh (1890 - 2014), on 6/5/2014, the Ho Chi Minh Museum opened a photography and documentary exhibition called “Ho Chi Minh and the victory of Dien Bien Phu”.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong - Secretary of the CPVCC and Head of the Party Central Committee Office; Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan - Director of Reserve Department, Party Central Committee Office; Mr. Nguyen Huu Toan - Deputy Director of Cultural Heritage Department (MOCST), and Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Vietnam National Museum of History.

The exhibition introduces 200 documentary and photographs, in these things, there are some firstly made public. The exhibition comprises 3 parts:
Part 1: From Hanoi to Viet Bac War Zone
Part 2: Dien Bien Phu - the strategic dramatic battle
Part 3: The resounding victory of Dien Bien Phu

The victory of Dien Bien Phu was resulted from the war that gathered the strength of Vietnamese people and national solidarity, under the talented leading of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap. It combines the strength of Vietnam and of the era.
