The revolutionary historical relic, the Chi Ne Money Printing Factory located in Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province was ranked as a National Relic Complex in 2007 by Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. By there, the first Vietnamese paper currency was printed in 1946 - 1947. The complex includes 3 relic units as the main house of Chi Ne plantation, the money printing factory and the money store.
On 14/2/2014, a ceremony was held to inaugurate the second relic or the “Money Printing Factory” and to recognize the relic complex as Vietnam Guinness.

Since 2013, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) has coordinated with the People Committee of Lac Thuy district to implement the research, collection and exhibition for this relic.

Representatives cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Money Printing Factory relic
The relic exhibits 3 main parts:
- The place where used to put the printing machine in 1946-1947 where you can see a sample of a money printing machine in 1945 - 1980, diary made by Finance Minister Le Van Hien, Uncle Ho’s letter to encourage and thank the donator Do Dinh Thien (who donated the Chi Ne plantation for Vietnam Revolutionary Government to build the factory).

Visiting the exhibition of money printing machine
- Exhibiting Vietnamese Currency collections through times from 1945-1976 and the Indochina Stock Collections.
- A working room of minister secretary, a coffee store, a wooden factory and a coffee processing store.
In the coming time, VNMH will continue with Lac Thuy district to construct the 3rd relic unit and finalize the whole project of building the Chi Ne historical relic.
