On 18 - 19/1/2014, the “Cool Japan Fukuoka” took place in VNMH, 25 Tong Dan drew much attention to children, students and young people. This fair will last to 21/1/2014.
“Cool Japan Fukuoka” is held to introduce Fukuoka (Japan) cultural products of modern time. It celebrates the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2014) and the 5 years of co-operative relations between Hanoi and Fukuoka (2008 - 2013).
We would like to present some activities in the last two days:
1. Japanese spin top (Koma):

It is a popular traditional game in Japan. Using a string, players spun small wooden or steel tops called bei-goma inside a ring, usually a bucket covered with a towel, and tried to knock their opponents' tops out of bounds.
2. Hanetsuki:

Hanetsuki is a Japanese traditional game, often played by girls at the new year, similar to badminton without a net, played with a rectangular wooden paddle called a hagoita and a brightly colored shuttlecock.
3. Kendama:

A kendama is a traditional Japanese toy, which consists of three wooden cups of different sizes placed on the center of a wooden spike, with a smaller cup at the spike's base and a ball connected by a string to the central piece. It requires player’s delicacy and patience.
4. Kazaguruma:

A pinwheel made of bamboo and colorful paper
5. Take-Tobo: bamboo dragonflies

6. Trying Yukata:

Trying a casual summer kimono usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, and unlined. Yukata are worn by both men and women.
7. Hair and nail stylists

8. Exhibition of Japanese picture stories:

Picture stories of famous authors such as Sezio Watase, Keiko Yamada, Mutsumi Hagiiwa…can be found there
9. Show short cartoon:
Showing “After School Midnighters”, a cartoon which is very popular in Japan.
