In a framework of co-operative program, which was signed for the second time on 10/10/2013 by VNMH and National Museum of Korea, a research for archaeological sites at the pre-history and proto-history of Vinh Phuc province has been done by the two museum’s archaeological team.
Researching efforts were made from 11 to 13 October 2013 with the view to find one site that is suitable for carrying out excavations to be made in the future, in a period of 2014 – 2018.
In 3 days working at Vinh Phuc province, the team has made some surveys at 7 archaeological sites in 3 districts of the province.
During such short time, they got some basic results: a prospective on archaeological sites at the pre-history and proto-history of Vinh Phuc province in terms of real situation, scale, local authority’s management and planning on relics.
Some potential sites have been determined for a long co-operative project to be done by the two museums and with local authorities, such as Lũng Hòa, Gò Gai, and especially Đồng Đậu is paid much attention. VNMH and National Museum of Korea will continue to exchange to confirm the sites for excavations in the year to come.
With such outcome, we believe that the co-operative program between the two museums will go smoothly and gain great achievements in the near future.
