In the preparation for The 4th Conference of Asian National Museums Association (ANMA4) to be held in Vietnam on October, 2013, on 12/8/2013, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) has gathered for the draft approval of the thematic exhibition titled “Asia – Cultural Diversity”.

Asia is a large continent with numerous populations, multi – national characters and religions to create a diversified picture of cultural diversity. This year, the ANMA4 is an opportunity for exchanging the relationships for the Asian National Museums and promoting the understandings of Asian cultures. That is why the thematic exhibition to be named “Asia – Cultural Diversity”.

The site layouts for the exhibition
A number of site layouts for the exhibition have been proposed with the aim to express the historical and cultural values of Asian countries through the hundreds of the typical objects representing 10 Asian countries including India, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Japan, North Korea, China and Singapore… Those are all authentic antiquities, which have been preserved in VNMH. They are jewelries, altars, architectural materials, potteries and works of art…Such objects will be displayed by the country name in alphabetical order, from the right side to the left side, or to the cultural chronology sequence. The exhibition will be held at the Thematic Exhibition Room, Vietnam National Museum of History, 25 Tong Dan, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, Vietnam.
