Implementing Plan for International Cooperation of Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) in 2013, with the agreement of steering committee of Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, on the morning May 22th 2013,Vietnam National Museum of History hold the signing report memorizing about cooperation of cultural heritage between Vietnam National Museum of History and Yunnan provincial Museum- China in Hall no.1 Pham Ngu Lao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony, on the side of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism: Mr Nguyen Huu Toan - Deputy Director of Cultural Heritage Bureau, Mr Le Ngoc Dinh - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Bureau.

On the side of Yunnan Provincial Museum of China, Mr. Ma Van Dau - Director, Mr. Chiem Ky Huu -Manager of conservation department, Mrs Duong Tuyet Ngam -Manager of International relation department, Mr. Ha Minh - Manager of of financial department, Ms. Khau Vi - Manager of Exhibition department

On the side of Vietnam National Museum of History: Nguyen Van Cuong - Director and Deputy Director: Vu Quoc Hien, Vu Manh Ha, and with managers of professional department of Vietnam National Museum of History.

Based on the results of negotiations, exchanges between the Vietnam National Museum of History and the Yunnan Provincial Museum in the period of 10th-15th March 2012 and April - May 2013.

In order to promote cooperation on conservation of Cultural Heritage, the Vietnam National Museum of History (hereinafter refered to as “Vietnamese party”) and the Yunnan Provincial Museum (hereinafter refered to as “Chinese party”) have agreed the following contents:

Article 1: Content

Both parties have a cooperation in exchanging display and introducing cultural heritage of Vietnam and China, which is keeping at two Museums; Cooperation in preservation, exhibition, archaeological excavations, restoration; Cooperation in staff training about professional and language; Cooperation in researching and publishing materials, books and catalogues on the cultural heritage of two Museums.

Article 2: Finance for implementation

Both parties will jointly implement projects. Both parties will discuss about the content, timing and implementation expenses on the principle of payment by both parties themselves. The invitation party is responsible for the cost of accommodation, meals, local transportation. The invited party is responsible for the cost of international transportation.

Article 3: Validity of the Agreement

This Agreement is valid from the signing date and effective throughout the period of five years (2013-2017). In the case of 3 months prior to this Agreement expires, neither Parties requests termination, this Agreement will be automatically extended every two years. This Agreement, if necessary, can be modified upon additional agreements between both Parties.

This Agreement will be signed in Hanoi on May, 22th 2013. It will be made in six originals with the same effect (02 in Vietnamese, 02 in Chinese, 02 in English). The two parties shall possess each of the three copies.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Director VNMH emphasized Vietnam National Museum of History and Yunnan Provincial Museum of China has the cooperation and close relationship with each other. Yunnan is an important part of relation with Vietnam and Indochina. Yunnan is the way through from India, Nepal to Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, has very deep connection in the history of the culture, religion, ethnography ... Today, that relationship that relationship is very intimate. Yunnan had special relation with North Vietnam in Bronze Age. Along with other Chinese partners such as the Chinese National Museum, Beijing Capital Museum, Quang Tay provincial Museum ... and Yunnan Provincial Museum of China will open good prospect for cooperation between the museums of two nation.

Mr. Ma Van Dau - Director of Yunnan Provincial Museum of China said at the ceremony: We are extremely excited to have an opportunity to visit and work at the VNMH, particularly the signing reporting memorizing of cooperation between cultural heritage of two museums. Vietnam and Yunnan associate mountain river are importance neighbours particular in the field of international cooperation and museum. In the fact that relationship derived from very old. Yunnan and Vietnam have many similarity with culture, especially in term of food ...

He also hoped that through report of cooperation, through history, this exchange, two museums of two nations more understand each other, strengthen further cooperation . This partnership not only brings benefit for two museums, but it also bring significant mean for the people of both country. At the end of the signing ceremony, directors of two museum presented souvenirs which have historical and cultural meaning. /.

On the occasion of 123 years of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890-19/5/2013) on morning May 19th, 2003 at 25 Tong Dan Hall, Ha Noi, Vietnam National Museum of History held seminar program for students in Hanoi area with theme "Uncle Ho with intellectual young in the national liberation movement.
