On the occasion of 123 years of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890-19/5/2013) on morning May 19th, 2003 at 25 Tong Dan Hall, Ha Noi, Vietnam National Museum of History held seminar program for students in Hanoi area with theme "Uncle Ho with intellectual young in the national liberation movement.

Attending the program were representers of professional departments of Vietnam National Museum of History as the Communicative Department, Public Education Department, especially the broad and enthusiastic participation of more than 200 students from the Universities of in Hanoi city such as: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi University of Culture, Water Resources University, Academy of Journalism and Communication ... This is sciential activities which Vietnam National Museum of History organized monthly in order to create a cultural playground for the young generation, especially students in Hanoi area, thus helping them have an opportunity to learn and explore historical and cultural knowledge of State and nation.

At the seminar, the students were heard Deputy professor, PhD Pham Xanh – lecturer of University of Social Sciences and Humanities who gave a lecture on the topic. Through lecture, students understand better about the process of Vietnam revolutionary history for national liberation, contributing to the success of revolution is the national liberation had major role of the Vietnam intellectual class. They were the persons who selected and received of progressive ideology from outside to apply to practical revolutionary of Vietnam. Before Party was born, President Ho Chi Minh had assembled an organized revolutionary which towards proletarian trend under the name "the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth association"; focused on intellectual young in order to assist He to bring Marxism-Leninism in Vietnam. The typical characters of Vietnam intellectual class in that time is: Tran Phu, Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Van Cu, Ha Huy Tap, Pham Van Dong, Truong Chinh, Le Duan ...

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.
