As reported: Special exhibition entitled "Vietnam - The Greatest Story" is one of the typical activity within the framework of collaborative program about researching and exchanging culture between Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) and National Museum Kyushu Japan period 2011 - 2015, on the occasion of 40th anniversary of diplomatic relation between Vietnam - Japan (1973-2013). Vietnam National Museum of History has organized business trip in Japan to prepare and participate in this exhibition.
Nearly 200 artifacts from many museums in Vietnam such as Hoi An Museum, Hanoi Museum, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, Han Nom Research Institute, Thang Long royal citadel heritage Center, Vietnam National Museum of History were selected to go on display on this occasion. With the desire to introduce traditional history, Vietnam culture to Japan people generally; artifacts selected for display are precious and featured collections, in the large cultural background of Vietnam, such as the Dong Son culture, Sa Huynh, Oc Eo - Phu Nam ... One of them is royal collection of Nguyen dynasty with royal seal, gold book, sword unique objects;especially, there are exhibit salvaged from sunken ancient ship in the Vietnam sea to introduce the "Vietnam silk Road" in the sea.
This is the Vietnam display with large scale, the most impressive in Japan, is an opportunity to popularize the culture and history of Vietnam to Japan as well as strengthen relation between two countries which have many similarity in culture in Asia. Gallery will open on April 15 th 2013 at Kyushu National Museum, Japan and end in early June 2013. The mission of Vietnam National Museum of History, lead by the Director, Ph.D Nguyen Van Cuong and many experts of the Museum will go on Japan April 13th, 2013 to attend the opening ceremony of this important exhibition.
