On March 3rd 2012, at the Vietnam National Museum of History, No. 25 Tong Dan street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, Club “I love history” in coordination with Kim Dong Primary school (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) held an activity with the theme “Vietnamese women – Tradition and Modern”.

This is a practical activity to celebrate the Women’s day (March 8th) and help primary pupils to know more about the history, the meaning of the Women’s day and about the heroic, indomitable, faithful and ingenious tradition of Vietnamese women in the history of building and defending nation.

Teachers and pupils from Kim Dong primary school (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) joined in the activity of Club “I love history” with the theme “Vietnamese women – Tradition and Modern” to celebrate the Women’s day (March 8th) at the Vietnam National Museum of History on March 3rd 2012.

The activity included 2 contents: Visiting the display system of the museum and 3 game activities that were: ‘Find out typical examples of Vietnamese women in the Vietnamese history’; ‘Follow the National history’ and ‘My talents’. Joining in the activity, the students of Kim Dong Primary school became closer to the museum’s objects and through the game activities, they also study about some famous examples of Vietnamese women in the history, such as: Trung sisters, Ba Trieu (Ms.Trieu) and some heroines and women soldiers in the modern history, such as: Vo Thi Sau, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Thi Binh, Nguyen Thi Dinh, mother Suot, the Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Thu… Especially, the children could show their talents, knowledge and emotion to their grandmothers, mothers, teachers and sisters through many interesting, funny and cute performances which were staged and performed by themselves.

Children joined in the activity ‘My talents’ in the general activity of Club “I love history” with the theme “Vietnamese women – Tradition and Modern” to celebrate the Women’s day (March 8th) on March 3rd 2012 at the VietnamNationalMuseum of History.

The activity of Club “I love history” with the theme “Vietnamese women – Tradition and Modern” was an useful playground for children from Kim Dong primary school and it was truly a meaningful gift dedicated to all grandmothers, mothers, sisters in the Women’s day (March 8th).

The Decision on establishment of The Vietnam National Museum of History, which was approved by the Prime Minister, in the base of merging two museums: The National Museum of Vietnamese History and The Museum of Vietnamese Revolution was announced to all officers and labours.
