Vietnam National Museum of History works with Korean experts on On-site Technical Training Program

On the afternoon of 13 October 2026, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) welcomed a delegation of Korean experts for a working meeting ahead of the On-site Technical Training Program entitled “Techniques for the Treatment and Conservation of Paper Artifacts,” scheduled to take place from 14 to 22 October 2026. The program is jointly organized by the Cultural Heritage Conservation Science Center (CHCSC) of the Republic of Korea and the Vietnam National Museum of History.

Vietnam National Museum of History and VTC Multimedia Corporation co-organize “Touching Vietnam 2026” Video Creation Contest

On September 30, 2026, in Hanoi, the Recognition and Awards Ceremony for the “Touch Vietnam 2026” Video Creation Contest was held with the participation of representatives from agencies under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the contest’s organizing partners. As a co-organizer, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) participated in the Jury Panel, contributing to the evaluation and selection of outstanding works that effectively promoted Vietnamese culture through digital platforms, both in terms of content and presentation.

The Vietnam National Museum of History hosts Training Workshop on Trehalose Conservation for Waterlogged Artifacts

On July 1-2, 2026, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) in collaboration with Da Lat University and Japanese conservation experts, organized a professional training workshop on the conservation of waterlogged wooden artifacts by the Trehalose method. The workshop serves as an important preparation for the project "Conservation of Ancient Waterlogged Boat in Vietnam by the Trehalose Method", while promoting the application of advanced conservation technologies for Vietnam's cultural heritage.

The Vietnam National Museum of History hosts a working session with delegation from the Korea Heritage Service

On April 21, 2026, the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) hosted a working session with the Korea Heritage Service, on the occasion of the Sate visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam. The Korean delegation was led by Chairman Huh Min, accompanied by Mr. Lee Eun Seok, Director of the National Research Institute of Maritime Heritage (NRIMH) and other members. They were received by Mr. Nguyen Van Doan, Director of the VNMH together with Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh, Deputy Director, and heads of the Museum’s specialized departments.
