Colombo , September 23 (ANI): An archaeological site more than 3330 years old has been found in the Udaranchamadama area in Embilipitiya , Sri Lanka , by a group of local archaeologists.

Huge Anglo-Saxon gold hoard found

The UK's largest haul of Anglo-Saxon treasure has been discovered buried beneath a field in Staffordshire. Experts say the collection of 1,500 gold and silver pieces, which may date to the 7th Century. Terry Herbert, who found it on farmland using a metal detector, said it "was what metal detectorists dream of". It belongs to the Crown.

The burial jar of Sa Huynh Culture

Sa Huynh Culture is known in 1909, the first objects of this culture are di s c overed in Sa Huynh salt-field (Duc Pho distric t , Quang Ngai province ). The mysterious things of this culture are researched domestic and foreign scientists, archaeologists , and from that time, approximate 80 relics of this c ulture are dicov er ed, tens of these are studied and excavated as: Ha Tinh, Binh Dinh, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Tay Nguyen … etc.. to affirm the native origin and exchange between Sa Huynh Culture with others at the same time, famous in Vietnam and Southeast Asia . On the newly discovered Dong Son bronze drum

We all know that the culture of Dong Son is the summit of the culture of the ancient Viets, a culture of the age of bronze – the beginning of the age of iron, which lasts from the 3 rd century before the christian era to the 1 st century after the era. Since its discovery (1924), some ten years have elapsed, the vestiges of the culture of Dong Son continued to be discovered, explored, and to give us many wonders. Study and archaeological exploration of the vestiges of the pagoda – tower Kim Ton of the time of Tran

While realizing the program of archaeological exploration serving to the reparation and construction of the buddhist complex Truc Lam Tue Duc, the Service of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province of Vinh Phuc, in coordination with the National Museum of Vietnamese History, has undertaken the study and exploration of the foundation of the ancient pagoda Kim Ton as well as the surroundings, as a basis to realize the bigger excavation in the future.

Exploration and archaeological excavation of the site Go Ma Tre

With the permission of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, at the end of December 2008, the National Museum of Vietnamese History has signed the Research Cooperation Agreement with the National Museum of South Korea. Echo of Dong Son – Newly discovered objects

The culture of Dong Son – Vietnam has been discovered by French archaeologists for the first time in 1924 on the Ma riverside, in the commune of Dong Son, huyen of Dong Son (now quarter of Ham Rong, Thanh Hoa city). This is also the place where was discovered for the first time the collection of vestiges of the age of metals in Vietnam and in South-East Asia. So far, the domain of distribution of this culture has been determined from the northern to the southern frontier of Deo Ngang (a mountain pass of Vietnam), province of Quang Binh, with a concentration in the valléys of three big rivers: the Red River, the river Ma and the river Ca.
