Technical and technological Department of the VNMH is responsible for the management, operation, exploitation and maintenance of the Museum's technical equipments such as: information technology, network management, audiovisual system, security system, fire and explosion prevention, electricity, water, refrigeration, etc. The Museum has applied scientific and technological advances to support other professional activities. This department is in charge of directing professional operations, guiding, recommending, recalling and inspecting the use and operation of technical equipment for other departments.

Currently, the technical equipment systems of VNMH include security gate system to monitor the area of permanent exhibition at No.216 Tran Quang Khai and No. 1 Trang Tien; Camera system to monitor inside and outside the Museum; Touch screen system for exhibition; System of audio equipment, lighting and projectors; Internet system; Nitrogen gas fire prevention system equipped for store house at No. 1 Trang Tien; central air conditioning system (Toshiba) for exhibition and storehouse; Management and operation of two transformer stations of 560KVA and 630KVA.
