Communication

Communication is a powerful tool of museums especially in the 21st century - the century of science and technology. It is essential for a modern museum to propagate the museum's activities and to publicize the image of the museum.

VNMH is now taking effort to improve the communication by focusing on human resources and equipments. Through the communication, VNMH could bring visitors closer to the museum and vice versa. In recent years, VNMH’s activities and events have been widely reported on national and international mass media such as: newspapers, online newspapers, central and provincial audio and TV channels. The museum also has a very good relationship with national mass media agencies and journalists.

The VNMH's communication products are varied and abundant including leaflets, tour guide books, catalogs, souvenirs. Other advertising products like flags, banners, posters are also promoted. Therefore, the visitors could easily identify VNMH with special features.

VNMH website

The VNMH website provides information in three languages including Vietnamese, English and French. This website regularly updates the activities of the Museum and introduces the typical artifacts from the prehistory to the present which stored, preserved and displayed at the VNMH. This website is also a bridge between the Museum and the domestic and international audience. It is continuously improved and updated to attract more readers. So far, this website has more than 500,000 views per month.

The Volunteer Club was formed and operated from April 2013, effectively supporting the Museum's communication. The Club’s activities are organized in a varied, useful and appropriated ways to promote the reputation of the museum and provide information, historical knowledge. These activities have brought domestic and international audience closer to VNMH.
