A bronze bell was found by local fishermen on a summer morning 1958, in coastal area of Do Son port.
Boat tomb is one of featured burial forms of Dong Son culture. Boat tombs are being discovered in many Dong Son relics up to now, they thus give us precious evidences for studying features of this famous culture. One of most significant and early discovered boat tombs of Dong Son culture is Viet Khe boat tomb (tomb number 2 – M2).
The Tay Son Dynasty (1778-1802) was associated with the name of the Vietnam national hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, who had made glorious victories against foreign invaders, protecting the independence of the Vietnamese nation. After the victory of battle against Chinese Qing invaders in 1789, Quang Trung emperor focused on restoring the country, stabilizing the society and developing the national culture.

Following the discoveries and initial researches on Pu Chia Chua and Pu Tre architectural relics, the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism allowed Yen Bai Museum to excavate Pu Tre relic.
The grave with boat-shape coffin is a common burying way of late Dong Son culture and still existed up to recent centuries. Through the archaeological excavations, this type of burial can also be seen in Southern China, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippine and mostly dated back early Iron Age.
The “Appeal for National Resistance” was written by President Ho Chi Minh in the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Duong in Van Phuc village, Ha Dong district, Ha Tay province (now Ha Dong district, Hanoi), on two ivory-coloured unlined pages. Its aim was to rally the whole nation to the cause of resistance to French colonial rule and the defence of national independence.
This diary in verse was composed from August 1942 to September 1943 when Vietnam’s national leader Ho Chi Minh was imprisoned in Guangxi province (China) by the kuomintang (KMT) government.
In 1925, while working underground in Guangxi (China), our national leader Ho Chi Minh, (under the name Nguyen Ai Quoc) selected several young Vietnamese patriots for training as cadres to be sent back to our homeland for revolutionary activity.
