On January 2, 2018, the acceptance meeting of the Ministry-level scientific research project Researching and promoting of the historical, cultural, scientific and aesthetic value of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam’s currency in the period of 1945-1976 headed by MA. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Deputy Head of the Archaeological Department was held at the VNMH

Evaluation and Acceptance Board were Prof.Dr. Luu Tran Tieu (President of the National Cultural Heritage Council) as chairman, Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Quoc Hung (National Institute for Culture and Arts) and Assoc.Prof.Dr Tong Trung Tin (President of the Vietnam Archeology Association) as reviewers and Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Nghia Phuong (Vietnam Fine Arts University), Dr. Tu Manh Luong (Director of Science, Technology and Environment Department), MA. Trieu Van Hien (Former Director of the Revolutionary Museum of Vietnam), Mr Dao Phi Long (UNESCO Club of Vietnamese Money Collection) as members.

Attending the acceptance meeting were Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Member of the National Council of Cultural Heritage - Director of the VNMH, Representative of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment (Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism) and representatives of the VNMH’s professional departments.

MA. Nguyen Thi Huyen presented a summary of the project results. Beside the introduction, conclusion, reference and appendix, the research has been structured into three chapters:

- General issues on money and money of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the period 1945-1976;

- Value of money collection of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the period 1945-1976;

- Orientations and solutions to promote the money collection of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the period 1945-1976 at the VNMH.

The Board highly appreciated the efforts of the research team investigating the samples of money and referencing the information and materials relating to printing, transportation and distribution of the money in different regions at each historical time; documenting the collection of money from 1945 to 1976 which was printed and circulated in the North, Central and South. Through research, evaluation, analysis of the process of forming collections of money and clarifying the historical, cultural, scientific and aesthetic values ​​of the money collection of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the project has given some recommendations and solutions for research and collection contributing to promoting the collection at the VNMH. The research results also contribute to clarify the economical, financial, and monetary history of the difficult and arduous war during 1945-1975 and the early days of reunification of the country.

The Acceptance Board approved the project with 100% votes and asked the team to revise, supplement and finalize the project according to the reviews of the members.
