On the morning of December 21, 2017 VNMH organized the acceptance meeting of the institute-level scientific research project, "Researching, collecting and supplementing audio and video material sources of typical historical events in the period of 1945-1954 through historical witnesses in Hanoi", headed by MA. Nguyen Trong Luong (Department of Research and Collection)

Attending the acceptance meeting were Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Member of the National Council of Cultural Heritage - Director of the VNMH with the Museum’s Leader Board, members of the Science Council and the team who has carried out the research; representatives of professional department and Museum’s staff.

On behalf of the research team, MA. Nguyen Trong Luong reported the research results and introduced the audio and video of 12 witnesses in 6 typical historical events from 1945 to 1954 in Hanoi.

Apart from clarifying the urgency of supplementation of audio and video materials for the archives as well as the role of audio and video resources in the professional activities of the VNMH research team suggested to quickly collect information, materials and objects from witnesses in important historical periods and have mechanisms and policies for collecting and supplementing materials and objects related to audio and video of typical historical events.

The Acceptance Board highly appreciated the research results as well as suggested that the research team add some typical historical events from 1945 to 1954, such as: the Preliminary Agreement on March 6, 1946; the Provisional Agreement on September 14, 1946; the Takeover Day of Hanoi on October 10, 1945; and a selection of important witnesses of each historical event. The Acceptance Board emphasized the contribution of the project to the collection and addition of materials, audio-visual objects in the museum and suggested the direction for research and collection in the coming time.

The research has received much discussion and sharing of the Evaluation Board members as well as participants. The Acceptance Board has been rated excellent for this research.
