On the occasion of the New Year of the Tiger, on behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH), I would like to send to entire staffs, collaborators and readers the best wishes for the New Year.

 

By 2021, with the attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the effective coordination of relevant agencies, domestic and international organizations and individuals, the VNMH’s Board of Directors and all staffs have effort to overcame all difficulties caused by the Covid-19 disease and has successfully completed plans of work.

In 2022, the country has many significant historical and political events with other opportunities and challenges. On the basis of the achievements achieved in 2021, the VNMH will make more efforts to complete excellently all tasks.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the National Resistance Day (December 19th, 1946 - December 19th, 2021), the Vietnam National Museum of History cooperated with the Archives of the Office of the Party Central Committee to carry out the thematic exhibition “Việt Bắc - the Capital of Forest Wind” on December 16th, 2021.
