At the invitation of Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the High-Level Delegation of the National Assembly of Lao PDR led by Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly and his wife paid an official visit to Vietnam from December 6-8, 2021.

During the visit, the wife of the Chairman of the National Assembly of Lao PDR, Ms. Viphavanh Phomvihane and the wife of the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Van Chi toured the National Museum of History on the afternoon of December 7th, 2021.

On behalf of the VNMH Mr. Nguyen Van Ha - Deputy Director and Mr. Phan Tuan Dung - Head of Communications & External Relations welcomed the delegation.

At the VNMH, Ms. Viphavanh Phomvihane was delighted to admire precious and valuable objetcs, including many national treasures that helped her better understand about the history and cultural heritage of Vietnam.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

The special exhibition titled “Vietnam Ceramics - A Separate Tradition: From the An Bien collection” was launched at the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) on November 19th, 2021 to mark the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23). It held by the VNMH in collaboration with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association.
