In the collection of the Vietnam National Museum of History, there is a relatively impressive and beautiful object. It is a pair of Chinese cobalt pattern ceramic vases. It might remind us that the objects were made for the rich people in feudal time. However, they were the place to hide the confidential document dispatched from overseas to Hai Phong for the party (now the Communist Party of Vietnam) in 1932. The vases are some of the remembrances related to the revolutionary life of Nguyen Luong Bang, a pioneer and leadership of CPV.

It was really tough to bring the political document to Vietnam at that time. Nguyen Luong Bang, together with some patriots, had to disguise themselves as merchants of antiquities from Hongkong, China to Vietnam. They kept the document inside vases and shipped to Haiphong port. Our vases were some of them. They are 79cm high, mouth's diameter at 29,5cm and bottom's diameter at 24cm.

In 1933, Nguyen Luong Bang was arrested. Nguyen Luong Bang was among the first member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He was known to be a brave communist and an example for generations to learn.

President Ho Chi Minh and Nguyen Luong Bang, 19-5-1957

Nguyen Luong Bang was born on April 02, 1904 in Dong village (now Thanh Tung commune, Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province). When he was young, he served as a worker in a vessel on the route of Haiphong and Guangzhou. Around end of 1925, he worked in a French vessel in Guangzhou. During this time, he met Ly Thuy (Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh), Ho Tung Mau and several Vietnamese patriots who were living in Guangzhou. He was trained by Nguyen Ai Quoc and joined the Vietnam Association of Youth Revolution. From September 1926 to 1930, he went back Vietnam to do the mission as an activist and propagandist and leadership of workers in Haiphong. He handled the transportation of the secret document and books from overseas to Vietnam. For example, Thanh nien newspaper, or Đường Kách Mệnh of President Ho Chi Minh. Nguyen Luong Bang was regarded as one of the best assistant of President Ho Chi Minh.

The culture of Dong Son is the summit of tha age of bronze and of the beginning of the age of iron in Vietnam. In recent years, the study of that culture has obtained important acquirements. The exhibition hall entitled :” Echo of Dong Son – Newly discovered objects in 2004 – 2009” in the National Museum of Vietnamese History is considered as a phenomenon of archaeology with more than 100 objects presented for the first time, mainly bronze objects and ceramics of the time of Dong Son. There are objects which have not appeared in the collections of Dong Son in the country as well as in the world, such as the collection of lampadaries in the site of Lang Vac (Nghe An), reflecting a religious mentality of the population of Dong Son, the bronze drum having a form and queer decorations as men drawing boats, found in the High Lands. The jar with pedestral pierced with holes is also a very original objects. It is one of the two jars with pedestral pierced with holes that have never been seen so far in the collections of bronze objects of Vietnam.
